As of February 23, the project to rehabilitate and upgrade National Road No. 48 from Chamkar Luong at the junction of National Road No. 4 to Khemarak Phoumin City, Koh Kong Province has been completed by almost 22%. According to the personal inspection of HE Senior Minister Sun Chanthol, Minister of Public Works and Transport on February 23, 2023.

The Senior Minister confirmed that the construction project of National Road No. 48 has a total length of 148 kilometres, starting from PK 141 + 750 (Chamkar Luong) at the junction of National Road No. 4 to Khemarak Phoumin City, Koh Kong Province. 22% already.

The construction of this project began in January 2022 with an estimated cost of US$78 million, via a concessional loan from the Government of the Republic of Korea.
